Why I Write: Words, Questions and the Journey Within
Writing, for me, has never been merely about putting words on a page.
It is about pausing.
Pausing to observe what is happening around us, to understand what is happening within us, and sometimes, simply to ask questions that do not have easy answers.
I write because there are thoughts that deserve to be explored, experiences that deserve to be understood, and questions that deserve to be asked.
A Journey of Observation
I have always been interested in people—their thoughts, emotions, choices, contradictions and dreams.
Over time, this curiosity gradually became a deeper interest in writing. Books and ideas became a way of looking at the world from different perspectives.
My academic background in Psychology further shaped this journey. Studying the human mind taught me to look beyond what is immediately visible. Behind every action, there can be a thought. Behind every thought, an emotion. And behind many emotions, an experience that may never be visible to the outside world.
This understanding continues to influence the way I write.
Writing About the Human Experience
My writing does not belong to just one genre.
Some of my work explores the human mind and emotional life. Some reflects on society and contemporary India. Some emerges from literature, imagination and personal observation.
What connects these different works is a simple curiosity:
Why do we think the way we think?
Why do we feel what we feel?
And how do our ideas shape the world around us?
These questions often become the starting point of my writing.
My Books
Over the years, these questions have taken different forms in my books.
Mind on Repeat explores thoughts, patterns and the complexities of the human mind.
Self-Love Symphony is a journey through self-love, emotions, inner growth and self-understanding.
The Unlikely Laureate takes a different direction, exploring politics, society and contemporary India through an analytical lens.
And माधव मंजरी represents my literary side—a work rooted in the world of literature and imagination.
Each book is different, but each carries a part of my journey as a writer.
Beyond Books
For me, writing does not end with publishing a book.
This blog is an extension of that journey.
Here, I want to write about literature, psychology, society, ideas, books, India and the observations that emerge from everyday life.
Some posts may be analytical.
Some may be reflective.
Some may simply begin with a question.
I don’t want this space to be limited by a single category. I want it to remain a place where ideas can meet.
Why Questions Matter
We live in a world full of quick answers.
A question, however, asks us to slow down.
Good questions can challenge assumptions. They can open conversations. They can make us reconsider something we thought we already understood.
Perhaps that is one of the reasons I write.
Not necessarily to provide the final answer, but to explore the question honestly.
Looking Ahead
As I continue this journey, I hope this website becomes more than an online profile.
I hope it becomes a window into my work, my books and the ideas that continue to shape my thinking.
If you have read one of my books, discovered my writing recently, or simply arrived here out of curiosity, welcome.
There is much more to explore.
This is my space for words, questions and observation.
And perhaps, somewhere along the way, we may find a few answers too.
